about me

Nikki | she/her | 28 | rollin on the haters ♿️ | infpHi everyone! I'm Nikki. I love all things pink and pastel and while I found HSD in 2021, I have actually loved Sanrio since I was a kid. Cogimyun, Purin, and Cinna are my favorite characters! I have a modest collection of some Sanrio goods but also collect pins and small items from other stuff I'm into such as anime or video games. Currently I'm watching a lot of anime and am playing loads of Stardew Valley. I welcome new besties/ friends if anyone 18+ wants to connect with me on instagram or twitter!Watching: JJBA, Yona of the Dawn, Spy x Family
Reading: nothing atm
Playing: Stardew Valley, Everskies, HSD, ACNH

wishlist

ultimate dreamies

While I do have less hard to find items on my wishlist, the items below are my ultimate dream items. I am willing to trade any and all items in my dupes for items on this list. If you'd like to arrange a trade for one of these items please either comment on the trading post in my feed or message me on twitter/ instagram which you can find above. 💕

sr dupes list

A full list of duplicate items is available on my HSD feed. The following are just the SR and SSR items that I currently have UFT!My SR list is split into three lists: one for SC and LB items, another for event SRs, another for regular bags, due to the new comment post limit on HSD. advice & guide

advice for new players
While I don't have a full HSD guide for new players here, I thought I'd share a few tips that have helped me navigate....
-If you do nothing else- familiarize yourself with the way the app works and the terminology (most of which is in the glossary below)
-Check out the wiki page, where you can find happy bag info, guides for the game, and other helpful info!
-Don't be afraid to watch some videos of gameplay such as the one here or one in English on the Japan server here
-I wouldn't recommend trying to gift trade until you understand how it works and are confident in how to do it- practice with some exchanges first!
-Be mindful of values of items; sr- sr, r-r, c-c. Unless something is super super expired, trade items at the same value. Nobody is ever going to accept a common item for a super rare!
-Be mindful of how you treat others. We're a small community and everyone won't hesitate to block you for poor behavior in chat. Keep it inclusive, keep it kind! :)
terms glossary
-UFT = up for trade, they are offering an item for trade
-LF / iso = "looking for" or "in search of", an item they are looking for. DLF means desperately looking for, an item they really want
-NFT= this means "not for trade", that a person doesn't want to trade for a given item; it is bad form to badger people in trade posts about items marked not up for trade
-pull / spin = used coins or gacha tickets to "pull" items from an available bag. Can do single pulls or 7x pulls.
-feed= everyone has a newsfeed in the social tab that is attached to your profile. Here you can post pictures and messages. Most people use this for dupes lists, wishlists, message boards, etc.
-dupe or duplicate= someone has a second copy (or more) of an item. You can only trade items where you have pulled two or more of that item. I.e. having two pairs of the same eyes, etc.
-sr / r / c= "super rare", "rare", "common". SR items are worth the most, commons the least. SSR items are super super rare and involve exchanging and transforming an item during a limited bag or lucky bag
-dreamie= dream item, usually hard to find or long expired; also stated as "dreamy"
-expired= typically refers to an item that is from a happy bag, event, sweet collection, etc that has ended.
-SC= "Sweet Collection", which is the monthly bag only those who have attained at least Strawberry Milk rank can pull from; "Milk" refers to strawberry milk rank, having spent $100 on the game that month
-lb or lucky bag= twice a year (or sometimes more) in January and July, special bags called Lucky Bags are released. These are usually only around for a short time and can contain bonus and exchangeable items
-PC= "Petitie Collection", similar to SC, is a collection available only to those who have attained Strawberry Syrup rank or above
-mmp; ppm; cinna st (or cinna); hka; lts; on water and fruit boards= these are abbreviations for My Melody Park, Pompompurin Marina, Cinnamaroll Street, Hello Kitty Avenue, and Little Twin Stars Hill. This is the neighborhood that player lives in and needs water in. Each day a quest asks you to water plants in a different neighborhood, this allows us to easily see who lives where.
-exchange / check exchange= we all have the ability to add up to 50 items to an exchange list from any bag or event that's at least 2 weeks old. When someone asks you to check exchange, they are asking you to see if anything in your exchange list can be traded for something on theirs. If an exchange is available it will appear in a bubble over someone's head and you can look at their list. Please ensure you submit an offer for an item of equal value, though!
letter / chair on exchange= this means someone has put a love letter or another basic item we all have when we start the game, in their exchange list so everyone can see what they have to offer. They are not intending to trade that letter for anything, it's merely a tool to allow you to see their full exchange list to work out a gift trade, etc.
gift trade= this means trading will take place via the gifting feature, rather than exchange. This typically costs less coins if you have spent RLC on the game
RLC / spending= "real life cash", these types of terms like "I want to spend", etc means someone wants to use real money to buy coins from the shop
xl up= someone has used an XL or special guest potion when they started their party, meaning there will be guaranteed plushies for attendees
f2p= "free to play", this means that player does not spend rlc on the game and grinds for coins instead
grinding / grind= means constantly playing HSD to get the most coins possible from hosting and going to lots of parties, etc.
-jpn / japan server= HSD was released in Japan several years before the english version. We commonly get old items or bags from the Japan server as 48 hour bags, etc.
making the most of grinding for coins
Doing some key things while playing HSD daily, or however often you can play, can make a huge difference to your coin total. I personally recommend...
-watering plants- up to 100 coins a day
-always satisfy the watering and party hosting daily quests
-set a timer or be mindful of when your parties start/end so you can host more each day
-visiting smile town and completing easy quests a few times can get you a few dozen coins per day
-join up to 50 parties per day, depending on how much rare fruit you have saved
-do only what you're mental health allows, and don't feel pressured to spend if you can't afford it, there's plenty of trading on the item board!
tips for saving
-try not to get spooled up by other people liking certain bags/items; you may end up spinning on a bunch of bags you don't like because of the hype
-save your party rewards for longer (i.e. don't collect the packages at your door) to have less spendable coins at your disposal
-be mindful of tactics used before something big drops; the devs will often drop something that's so-so to make everyone spend their coins before something major comes so everyone has to buy more
-accept and initiate trades only for items you really want to trade for; 50 coins per exchange really adds up
-set a coin goal for yourself and only allow yourself to spend after you exceed it, and don't let it dip under that amount.
tips on setting up your feed
-always make sure your dupes list and wishlist is towards the top (i.e., don't make people scroll through 40 images to get to it, etc.)
-make sure you organize your lists in some way. Some people do by rarity, others do by bag. I have found that doing both is the best way- I separate by bag and then go down from sr to common within that bag. I also post a separate SR list at the top of my dupes so you can decide quickly whether what I have UFT is what you're looking for on higher value items
-make sure you have a space for people to contact you about trades, otherwise people will comment in random places across your feed
-set up a trade verification/ vouch post so users who you have successfully traded with can vouch you're honest, leading more people to be willing to reach out and trade with you
Japan server/ how to see past bags
The #1 thing I always wondered when I started was how everyone somehow knew what all the past bags were that were released on the Japan server. If you use Google to translate to English, you can view all past Japan bags here!!
My biggest tip of all that I have to impart is that the point of HSD is supposed to be to have fun, socialize a bit, and make cute outfits and rooms. We as a community have to do what we can to make HSD a fun and inclusive space for everyone. Have fun and be kind, folks!! <3
